Ingredients
Scale
Main Ingredients
- 1 cup Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (8 ounces)
- 1 cup Cold Apple Cider or sparkling apple cider
Garnishes
- Red Apple Slices
- 1 Cinnamon Stick
- 1 Whole Star Anise
- Cinnamon Sugar (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Glass: Place 1 cup of vanilla bean ice cream into a tall glass, filling it about two-thirds of the way full to create the base for the float.
- Add the Cider: Slowly pour 1 cup of cold apple cider or sparkling apple cider over the ice cream. If using sparkling cider, pour gently to control the bubbles and prevent overflow.
- Garnish: Decorate the drink with a fan of red apple slices on the rim, add a cinnamon stick and a whole star anise into the glass for aroma, and sprinkle cinnamon sugar along the side and on top for added sweetness and spice.
- Serve: Serve immediately to enjoy the rich contrast of creamy ice cream and crisp apple cider at its best.
Notes
- Do not store once assembled; serve immediately to maintain the best texture and flavor.
- Make ahead by preparing garnishes and chilling the apple cider and glasses, but assemble just before serving.
- For sparkling cider, pour slowly to manage fizz and prevent spills.
- You can substitute vanilla bean ice cream with any high-quality vanilla ice cream if unavailable.
